The Audi AG Servicecenter at Neckarsulm in Germany asked us to repair a Audi TT convertible side panel. The perfect chance to demo the system to our friends from Dentmasters in India on their training visit here.
The 2 cm deep damage on this TT convertible would - without Alurepair - mean a 12+ hours replacement of the panel. By the way, the calculated replacement time in Germany is 6.8 hours. Every repairer knows that this is mission impossible in such a short time.
With Miracle gluing and Alurepair and assisted by 2 AiroPower presses, our trainer Richard Wolfrum did the repair in a little more than 2 hours.Everyone was once more surprised how much force you can apply on these gluing pads. In tests we put over 400-500 kg on each of these.
The engineers at Audi were very satisfied when they checked the repair. On the main edge Richard achieved a finish only 0.2 mm off the original contour.
